Just read that my dear Dragonboat team, ELEMENTS, from CAUCI (Chinese Association @ University of California, Irvine) just won the 2008 Tempe, Arizona Collegiate Championship!!!!
Woo, so proud of you guys! I wish I could return to UCI to paddle again…

Am missing the great times we have had at the Nor Cal Race and the practices at Long Beach…

I’ve been to Santa Monica Beach and Venice Beach in LA and I was mesmerized by them…
But Huntington Beach is the best so far because it is less touristy and it’s a “beach” beach where people play beach volleyball, go surfing, sun-tanning…
Wanna learn surfing!
This is so going to be the weekend hang-out for some of us!

I’ve been eating a lot ever since I arrived in Irvine.
That’s a good thing considering that gaining weight is top on my agenda for this exchange but that would mean spending a considerable portion of my budget on food stuff=(
How to eat more and save money at the same time?

I was at Third Street Promenade yesterday and we dropped by the Apple Store to check out the coolest gadget in town – THE iPhone!

It was in May when I first stepped onto the glamorous land of stardom.
4 months later, I’m back visiting Hollywood again=)

Upon touch down at LAX, we waited patiently and excitedly for the shuttle to bring us to our Park West apartment.

We moved into a two-bedroom apartment with the intention of squeezing 7 people into the apartment but after making some stupid moves, the leasing authorities became somehow suspicious of us having illegal occupants. To cut the long story short, they got us a bigger 3-bedroom apartment so that the 7 of us can be official residents of the place.
So after 2 days of “camping out” in the 2-bedroom apartment, we finally got to move into the fully furnished (and I mean really furnished right down to the smallest details like utensils, towels, complementary shower products…) 3-bedroom apartment.
It’s so damn expensive to live here – freaking US$690 per mth per person – and I feel so spoilt…
See how spoilt we are? I bet not many people on exchange can live so comfortably…

Walkway to the apartment

The top left apartment – 17C – is where I’ll be staying for the next 3 months…
